Welcome to LaTV! Louisiana Public Broadcasting, the Louisiana Cable Telecommunications Association, and the Louisiana Legislature team up to provide live legislative coverage for viewers around the state through LaTV. LaTV coverage usually begins with live coverage of the Governors opening address to the Legislature. LPB broadcasts live coverage on the six-station LPB network and its affiliate WLAE-TV32 in New Orleans. During the Legislative Session, television coverage will run from 2:00-6:00 p.m. every weekday on cable systems around the state. At 6:00 p.m., viewers can continue watching streamed video coverage. The House and Senate produce the daily coverage. It is transmitted to LPB through a fiber connection to its studios where it is digitally uplinked to cable systems recruited by the LCTA around the state. Click here for a list of participating cable systems. Please note: starting times for any meeting or proceeding are subject to delay. To view the streamed video, you will need RealPlayer installed on your computer. RealPlayer is available FREE from www.real.com |
